Nebraska 2 Minute Warning Sen Kauth who and how much have policy makers received as campaign contributions from the feedlot operators of the state. I have the numbers for 2025 alone.
"The legislature has been debating a brand law that pits the wants of feedlot operators against the needs of family ranchers in NE. The hearing on Thursday had one proponent for the law and over 200 opponents. The ranchers, who have been fighting historic wildfires during calving season, and are now busy calculating their devastating losses, could not figure out why the Agriculture committee was ignoring their pleas. Trent Loos followed the money, and now it makes more sense.
