Superbugs in the environment rarely transfer to humans, according to new study

Alarm from health agencies, the scientific community, funding agencies and the media has led many research programs to focus on the risk from antibiotic resistance in agricultural and environmental settings (so-called "one health" studies), alongside human-to-human transmission in hospitals or the wider community.
