Oh my…… here’s just another self-dealing politician who is nothing but a “sheep in wolves clothing!” That she has absolutely abandoned SD landowners for her own political self-gain is utterly disgusting. And who in their infinite wisdom thought it was a good idea to put the story about 14-month old puppy “Cricket” in a book being shot by the rock pile and left to rot was a good idea? Why in Sam-hell was appropriate? Was it to show how much of a badass she is? One word: “backfired!” And STUPID! Kristi better get behind the SD counties right to put on the ballots the right to vote with paper ballots instead of using expensive, hackable voting machines. If she doesn’t get behind the counties right to put the petition on the ballot, she’s going to lose more SD votes then she will having shot her dog.
Regarding your attack on Kristi Noem and her killing a predatory animal. People like you are ignorant of the South Dakota statute which reads that any animal found to be killing livestock makes YOU THE OWNER liable. To say a predator can be rehabilitated is asinine. Once a predator, always a predator. When I was pre-teen my father had to put down 2 pet dogs we had. One for attacking and biting a neighbor girl on her face, and the other for killing chickens owned by another neighbor. The chicken killing took place several times and it became clear there was no way to correct the problem without buckshot. It is people like you who also think human predators can be rehabilitated, but more often than not they get a slap on the hand, released time served, and they go on to commit the same crimes again and again. It is time to get over your nanny state liberalism, wake up and smell the coffee.
Thanks Trent...though live mostly in WY I have lived in NE, not SD, few years in PA but they would not hire gal with long black hair, long skirts, nd boots from WY...but for a time seismograph in ND with the most gorgeous dark soil contrast to the golden grains in 40below! But like you, like these territories but had to stand in attention for this report. At this moment 3 counties in SD are going to use the machines but also hand count to verify. 1 county is going to hand count only.
